Fire Alarm Installation Engineer

This role is not solely as a Fire alarm installation Engineer it expands to also site management working on our large client projects liaising direct with project leads.

You will be responsible for Installation of Fire Detection Systems to the relevant BS Standards and working within the NSI Gold regulations.

repairs and maintenance work to provide high quality, ‘right first time’, cost effective service to the business and its customers.

Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements at all times.

  • Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 plus OT

QUALIFICATIONS

17th Edition

  • City and Guilds 2372 PV Training or similar
  • City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in heating systems (Y Plan & S Plan)
  • Experience in installing Battery Storage, LED lighting (commercial), voltage optimization and EV charging
  • working at heights
  • Part P – NICEIC or similar registration
  • Inspection and testing
  • 17th Edition Amendment 3 (18thEdition Jan2019)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and undertake electrical work as directed
  • Liaise with other employees of the Company as necessary in order to complete specified works
  • Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories or to targets
  • Receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to quality
  • Notify team leaders of any associated access issues
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation is processed, and systems are completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct work in accordance with required specification current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practise, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards of such work.
  • Embrace the use of information systems and information technology
  • Undertake work on electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations currently 17th Edition amendment 3 and any subsequent revisions
  • Undertake fault-finding and diagnostic work as required to repair and maintain electrical installations
  • Be prepared to work the necessary hours to finish the jobs
  • Carry out inspection and testing on new and existing installations and completing appropriate test certification
  • Full knowledge of central heating’s controls & switch gear ie s plan and y plan
  • Embrace new technology and methods of working as these develop
  • Carry out minor after-trade work e.g. brickwork, plastering
  • Undertake essential reinstatement work as necessary in order to ensure premises are left in a secure, safe and weather tight condition
  • The post holder must hold a clean full driving license
  • Full UK coverage (excluding NI). May be required to stay away rarely
